Overview

Record a statement, check the draft, submit.

VoiceDoc is built for desks that have to stand behind a file. An officer records a statement. The draft fills police-style statements and incident reports. The officer checks every line before anything is submitted. Nothing is filed on its own.

Works offline

Installs as a mobile app and works without a connection. Recordings and drafts wait on the device and send once a connection returns, so a retry cannot file the same report twice.

A person checks every line

Every filled field can be edited before submission. Reports exist only after a person has reviewed them and signed off.

A record of who changed what

Every view, create, edit, and export of a record is logged. Records are not hard-deleted, so the history remains.

Workflow

Built for more than one language.

Statements are recorded in whatever language the person speaks. Where speech recognition is reliable, a transcript and a filled-in form are written automatically. Where it is not, including several Horn of Africa languages with little existing coverage, the statement is flagged for a person to write down rather than guessed. The audio is kept either way.

If the draft fails

If drafting fails or times out, the recording and case record are still saved with empty fields for a person to complete. A model outage never costs a record.

Access by role and unit

Access to case data is limited on the server by operational unit, so teams only see the records for their function.

Case list for supervisors

Supervisors can filter, search, track status, and export cases, with the same record of who changed what.

Ready to export

Reports export to PDF, ready for records systems and a later review.
